Selena Marie Gomez, born July 22, 1992, began her acting career at the age of seven, playing Gianna on Barney and Friends. She had other minor roles, including movies such as Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over, Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire, and Brain Zapped. In 2008, she portrayed Mary Santiago in Another Cinderella Story and the mayor's daughter in Horton Hears A Who?
She appeared in Disney Channel sitcoms The Suite Life Of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana where she portrayed the recurring role of Mikayla.
In 2007, Selena began to portray Alex Russo on Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place, which is in it's third season and has had one made-for-television film, with another in the works. It will continue to have a fourth season and a second movie.
Selena made her debut on the big screen this past July portraying Beatrice "Beezus" Quimby in Ramona and Beezus, based off the first three novels in the classic series by Beverly Cleary.
In 2009, she released Kiss & Tell, her first CD, with her band, The Scene. The second single, "Naturally", has been certified platinum, along with the CD certified gold. In September 2010, The Scene's sophomore album, A Year Without Rain, is set to be released. The first single "Round and Round" has been released.
At age 18, Selena has a full childhood career behind her, with a bright future ahead. Selena's Scene is proud to support her.

I am so very excited to inform you all that Selena's first concert is on November 28 at the Dallas House of Blues. Tickets go in sale this Saturday at 10:00AM, and I'm very happy to announce that I will be attending! I am so very excited for this, as I'm sure you all are too, so be sure to purchase your tickets here when they do!

Record Release Party

Selena & The Scene looked absolutely STUNNING at their record release party! Selena wore a gold top and a back skirt, making a total rock yet dressy look at the same time. The Scene rocked out in shirts, vest, ties, and pants. I've added a total of 81 HQ/MQ photos to the gallery.
Selena is getting lots of compliments on the record! Tiffany Thornton (who co-stars with her bff Demi Lovato on Sonny With A Chance), says:
It’s amazing! I love it. I love her single, ‘Falling Down,’ because I know what it’s all about.
Wizards' co-star Jennifer Stone says:
As A Blonde. I love it. It’s an anthem about how girls can change one little thing and it makes you feel like a totally different person. I’m so proud of Selena. She’s wanted this for a long time and worked her toush off and it’s finally paying off. The album looks great, I saw her perform the other day and she looks like a new Hayley Williams (from Paramore). She’s the coolest and she’s worked so hard, it’s nice to see it all pay off.
Debby Ryan says:
I love ‘As A Blonde’ and ‘Crush.’ But I really like ‘Falling Down’ too. I think ‘As A Blonde’ will be her second single. I can already see the things she’s going to do with that music video.
Samantha Droke, who attended the release party told JustJaredJr.com, "I’ll have to pick it up tomorrow, but I absolutely love ‘Falling Down.'"
At the release party, Selena described The Scene.
Ethan is the lead guitarist and also kind of like my mentor. He always makes sure I’m eating right and warms me up when it comes to my vocals. Joey< is the class clown, Greg is the mellow guy, he’s always kind of chill, and Dane is a sweetheart.

Finally! The Kiss and Tell Promoshoot finally decided to upload! We're still missing a few photos, but only 3! I've added 27 MQ promos, thanks to SFC. Selena looks gorgeous, the only thing about is that The Scene isn't in it. WTH? I'd like to see more of them. :) But Selena is gorrrrrrrrgeous and the CD is amazing.
I advise all Selena fans to purchase Kiss and Tell from TARGET stores. It comes with a 20-minutes DVD with bonus features. I have yet to watch it, but screencaptures will come along with it once I do!
Dancing With The Stars!

Selena & The Scene performed Falling Down tonight on Dancing With The Stars. Selena looks drop dead gorgeous and the band played amazingly. I really like Selena's prescence. She looked a little nervous at first, but she really just tore all that away. I can NOT wait for her to go on tour, and for those who say she can't sing, go tell someone who cares. ;) Selena's amazing and you know it!

There's just over an hour until Kiss and Tell is officially out. I am soooo excited!! Although I have to wait until Wednesday to get my copy, for those of you who don't, Selena says that the first person to send her a picture holding Kiss and Tell will receive a phone call from her, so seriously: don't miss out on your chance for Selena Gomez to call you! And congrats to the lucky person who does get the call.
