Selena Marie Gomez, born July 22, 1992, began her acting career at the age of seven, playing Gianna on Barney and Friends. She had other minor roles, including movies such as Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over, Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire, and Brain Zapped. In 2008, she portrayed Mary Santiago in Another Cinderella Story and the mayor's daughter in Horton Hears A Who?
She appeared in Disney Channel sitcoms The Suite Life Of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana where she portrayed the recurring role of Mikayla.
In 2007, Selena began to portray Alex Russo on Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place, which is in it's third season and has had one made-for-television film, with another in the works. It will continue to have a fourth season and a second movie.
Selena made her debut on the big screen this past July portraying Beatrice "Beezus" Quimby in Ramona and Beezus, based off the first three novels in the classic series by Beverly Cleary.
In 2009, she released Kiss & Tell, her first CD, with her band, The Scene. The second single, "Naturally", has been certified platinum, along with the CD certified gold. In September 2010, The Scene's sophomore album, A Year Without Rain, is set to be released. The first single "Round and Round" has been released.
At age 18, Selena has a full childhood career behind her, with a bright future ahead. Selena's Scene is proud to support her.

I've added several LQ photos of Selena today at a signing for Kiss & Tell. She posted on her official Twitter, saying:
... Cd signing today!! (and later on) After 5 hrs and 4,722 signed copies of the cd I got 50 handmade bracelets. This just proves I have the best fans!
She is so sweet. She must have writer's cramp by now!

I got the Target CD of Kiss & Tell, so I got the one with the disc of Bonus Features. I spent seven-and-a-half hours uploading 2199 caps to the gallery! It's spread out over 22 pages, so be sure to take your time scrolling through them. They took forever to upload!

That’s why I feel very honored to have a voice that kids listen to and take into consideration,. I had people on my tour asking me where IS Ghana, and they Googled it … and because I went there, they now know where Ghana is. So it’s pretty incredible.

I've decided to give the icons their own little place on the forum. It's easier to organize that way. I made the layout for it, and I decided to call it Stop and Erase Icons, after the title track on Kiss & Tell. It's one of my faves, suits the picture, well, and I think it suits the icons, too. I've added 46 HQ screen captures from the Kiss & Tell DVD Pictures Slideshow. It's the photoshoot for the album, including all of the pictures. Now we have them all!
