Selena Marie Gomez, born July 22, 1992, began her acting career at the age of seven, playing Gianna on Barney and Friends. She had other minor roles, including movies such as Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over, Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire, and Brain Zapped. In 2008, she portrayed Mary Santiago in Another Cinderella Story and the mayor's daughter in Horton Hears A Who?
She appeared in Disney Channel sitcoms The Suite Life Of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana where she portrayed the recurring role of Mikayla.
In 2007, Selena began to portray Alex Russo on Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place, which is in it's third season and has had one made-for-television film, with another in the works. It will continue to have a fourth season and a second movie.
Selena made her debut on the big screen this past July portraying Beatrice "Beezus" Quimby in Ramona and Beezus, based off the first three novels in the classic series by Beverly Cleary.
In 2009, she released Kiss & Tell, her first CD, with her band, The Scene. The second single, "Naturally", has been certified platinum, along with the CD certified gold. In September 2010, The Scene's sophomore album, A Year Without Rain, is set to be released. The first single "Round and Round" has been released.
At age 18, Selena has a full childhood career behind her, with a bright future ahead. Selena's Scene is proud to support her.

Sadly I missed it (didn't even know it was on xD), but thanks to YouTube, here's Selena being interviewed and performing "Naturally" on the Ellen DeGeneres Show today.

Selena is set to perform with Justin Bieber on Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve on December 31, 2009, at 10 PM EST!
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber will be ringing in the new year together on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest! The three and one-half hour celebration will broadcast from Las Vegas and New York City, and also include performances by The Black Eyed Peas, Keri Hilson, Colbie Caillat and Robin Thicke. Selena and Justin join the likes of Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers, who have appeared on the annual New Year's Eve special in past years. The festivities begin on Thursday, December 31 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC. Get ready to celebrate!

Edit: I've added images of Selena's concert with Forever The Sickest Kids at the 2009 Teleton at Mexico City on December 3. She performed "Falling Down" and "Naturally". You can view those photos here, plus candids out with Taylor Swift on December 2, and shopping with her band and greeting fans, but those haven't uploaded yet.
At the 2009 Teleton at Mexico City, Selena performed Naturally and Falling Down, her two singles. She sounded amazing, even if the videos aren't best quality!

On December 31st, Selena will appear on Disney Channel's New Year's Even Star Showdown. Very exciting, and I've added several MQ images to the gallery. They feature her, along with Debby Ryan, Chelsea Staub, Brandon Mychal Smith, Doug Brochu, David Henrie, Moises Arias, Dylan Sprouse, Cole Sprouse, Tiffany Thornton, Jason Earles, and Emily Osment. After Harper wins a marathon, she discovers that Alex used magic to help her win every competition since they were very young. Upset that she never really won anything on her own, Harper decides to let Alex recreate contests from the past in order to have the opportunity to win without the aid of magic. Meanwhile Justin decides to enter the marathon so he can be the first Russo to win an athletic trophy.
The episode will air FRIDAY at 8/7c on Disney Channel. Be sure to tune in! :)
Dallas House of Blues

Today was the Selena's concert at the Dallas House of Blues, which I attended! I am soooo tired and my throat hurts sooo badly from screaming. Water is slowly curing that however: words can not possibly describe quite how amazing that was. I was in a standing only area about 5-10 feet away from the stage. If you counted the space of regular rows, I was about 6 back.
I've added 4 LQ images to the gallery that I took on my phone. I've got between 10-20 MQ/HQ images on a disposable camera that I had to get developed. Not sure when that will happen though.
I've found several videos from the concert on YouTube. It's kinda cool, knowing I was in the same place (LOL).
That's the entire concert! Hopefully more pictures will come out and mine will get developed soon. Get tickets if she's coming to you, or you will be really missing out!
