Selena Marie Gomez, born July 22, 1992, began her acting career at the age of seven, playing Gianna on Barney and Friends. She had other minor roles, including movies such as Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over, Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire, and Brain Zapped. In 2008, she portrayed Mary Santiago in Another Cinderella Story and the mayor's daughter in Horton Hears A Who?
She appeared in Disney Channel sitcoms The Suite Life Of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana where she portrayed the recurring role of Mikayla.
In 2007, Selena began to portray Alex Russo on Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place, which is in it's third season and has had one made-for-television film, with another in the works. It will continue to have a fourth season and a second movie.
Selena made her debut on the big screen this past July portraying Beatrice "Beezus" Quimby in Ramona and Beezus, based off the first three novels in the classic series by Beverly Cleary.
In 2009, she released Kiss & Tell, her first CD, with her band, The Scene. The second single, "Naturally", has been certified platinum, along with the CD certified gold. In September 2010, The Scene's sophomore album, A Year Without Rain, is set to be released. The first single "Round and Round" has been released.
At age 18, Selena has a full childhood career behind her, with a bright future ahead. Selena's Scene is proud to support her.

On keeping the good in and the bad out of her life: “I get hurt — everybody does — but I’m more at the point where I’m looking at all the good things in my life. I have a healthy family who’s alive that I’m blessed to have, and wonderful friends.”
On getting off the computer: “I’ve given up the Internet. I don’t read comments, and I don’t go on any of the sites anymore, and I just feel better. And it’s not about being a celebrity — you get on MySpace, Facebook, there’s all these different outlets where people can just feel like nobody’s watching them so they can just say whatever they want to say, and that gets dangerous sometimes.”
On asking a guy to prom or any dance: “Oh man! I’m not sure there’s really a specific way to do it. I think you would seem more powerful if you just went up to him, even in front of his friends, and asked him. Because even if he says no, you can walk away knowing that you had the confidence to ask him. And I think that confidence is the best quality to have.”

New Layout & Naturally Caps

Thanks to Becky <3, I've put up a new layout on the site! I know I said that a new layout wouldn't be up until next year. That's because I'm too busy to make one. But fortunately, Becky was able to for me, and it's soooo gorgeous. It's a photo from the "Naturally" photoshoot set. We also have a new gallery layout. We were sorely in need of a new one, since the first one had been up for as long as the site has been up! I made the header for that, Xella coded the theme. I hope you guys like it, please give me your feedback!
On top of all that, I've added 800 MQ/HQ caps of "Naturally". That puts Selena's Scene in the lead for caps :P. I hope you like them, they took a while to upload!

Sadly I missed it (didn't even know it was on xD), but thanks to YouTube, here's Selena being interviewed and performing "Naturally" on the Ellen DeGeneres Show today.
