Selena Marie Gomez, born July 22, 1992, began her acting career at the age of seven, playing Gianna on Barney and Friends. She had other minor roles, including movies such as Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over, Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire, and Brain Zapped. In 2008, she portrayed Mary Santiago in Another Cinderella Story and the mayor's daughter in Horton Hears A Who?
She appeared in Disney Channel sitcoms The Suite Life Of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana where she portrayed the recurring role of Mikayla.
In 2007, Selena began to portray Alex Russo on Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place, which is in it's third season and has had one made-for-television film, with another in the works. It will continue to have a fourth season and a second movie.
Selena made her debut on the big screen this past July portraying Beatrice "Beezus" Quimby in Ramona and Beezus, based off the first three novels in the classic series by Beverly Cleary.
In 2009, she released Kiss & Tell, her first CD, with her band, The Scene. The second single, "Naturally", has been certified platinum, along with the CD certified gold. In September 2010, The Scene's sophomore album, A Year Without Rain, is set to be released. The first single "Round and Round" has been released.
At age 18, Selena has a full childhood career behind her, with a bright future ahead. Selena's Scene is proud to support her.

I also told you that I am finally coming overseas. We are still working out all the details but, it looks like we will be in Spain for the last week of March, maybe doing an event at Disneyland. UK for the first week of April, possibly doing a live show.
Germany for the second week of April. Were trying to find time to come out to Japan too. I am so excited to come and see all of you. Thank you all so much for all your support. Come back and check here soon I will be updating the info as soon as I know more.

Guess what? The gallery is FINISHED! It's been five months since we opened, and we now have a full gallery (except for screencaptures of TV appearances). I'm very excited that I don't have more catching up to do! In total we have over 14,000 images!

Also The Scene sings the track with her, there has been a lot of controversy with Disney 'making her a band to promote her differently than all the other Disney artists who turn into singers' and such. I. Am. So. Happy. Selena's second single, "Naturally", has gone GOLD!!!! That means that there have been 500K digital singles sold in just four weeks! How incredible is that? And, not only that, but it's also #1 "Breakout" Billboard Club Play Chart. I am so incredibly proud of Selena, as I'm sure all of you are, so let's keep voting voting voting and Selena to platinum. =D
Disney's Friends For Change Habitat Program

Awww! As you can see, Selena is working alongside bff and WOWP co-star Jennifer Stone on a birdhouse. It's part of their project for the Habitat Program.
Through May 2010, Disney’s Friends for Change is focused on protecting our one and only home base - our habitat! As part of the program, Disney worked with National Audubon Society to create the BIRD FEED pledge which helps kids understand just how important birds are to the environment and asks them to join together to create an important haven for neighborhood birds.
The birdfeeders are eco-friendly & handcrafted of natural cedar using zinc chromate screws and were decorated using eco-art supplies and Coccoina glue (made with an almond based paste).

Hey Pretty People! As you can see, I've put up a new layout. Thank you so much to my friend Mikky for designing the header on this! I hope you enjoy the links and hovers and colors and all of that. It's definitely one of my most creative, I'd say. I'm pretty happy with it. :) The pictures are from the ALMA Awards. I've never used pictures of her happy and smiling and holding up an award she just won, so I thought it'd be the happy-talented side of her this time. It'll be up for February and probably a little bit of March. I hope you guys like it!
