Selena Marie Gomez, born July 22, 1992, began her acting career at the age of seven, playing Gianna on Barney and Friends. She had other minor roles, including movies such as Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over, Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire, and Brain Zapped. In 2008, she portrayed Mary Santiago in Another Cinderella Story and the mayor's daughter in Horton Hears A Who?
She appeared in Disney Channel sitcoms The Suite Life Of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana where she portrayed the recurring role of Mikayla.
In 2007, Selena began to portray Alex Russo on Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place, which is in it's third season and has had one made-for-television film, with another in the works. It will continue to have a fourth season and a second movie.
Selena made her debut on the big screen this past July portraying Beatrice "Beezus" Quimby in Ramona and Beezus, based off the first three novels in the classic series by Beverly Cleary.
In 2009, she released Kiss & Tell, her first CD, with her band, The Scene. The second single, "Naturally", has been certified platinum, along with the CD certified gold. In September 2010, The Scene's sophomore album, A Year Without Rain, is set to be released. The first single "Round and Round" has been released.
At age 18, Selena has a full childhood career behind her, with a bright future ahead. Selena's Scene is proud to support her.

Selena appeared on the Spanish TV show, El Hormiguero, and I added 25 HQ images to the gallery, thanks to Just Jared Jr. Selena performed and apparently did something else.... I'm not quite sure what, check out the gallery to see what I mean!

Here's a new bit of info on Sel's newest movie, Monte Carlo.
Selena Gomez and Leighton Meester are to star as friends in forthcoming new movie ‘Monte Carlo’.
Joining the young actresses are Katie Cassidy (‘Melrose Place’) and Glee star Cory Monteith. Andie MacDowell and Nicole Kidman are also involved. The film is an adaptation of Jules Bass’ young-adult book ‘Headhunters’ and will be directed by Tom Bezucha.
The story focuses on Selena who flies to Monte Carlo for a charity auction with her friends Meester and Cassidy, after being mistaken for a socialite. Gomez recently said of meeting Kidman: “Nicole is the coolest person ever, and very sweet. So I was very happy!”
Filming will start this spring.

Selena stopped by Radio Disney last month and they played more of her takeover on Radio Disney today. Here's a bit about herself:
I’m not simple. I think I’m as complicated as it can get, to be honest. I over-analyze things. I constantly am thinking about the next thing and what the future is rather than just enjoying it, which is my biggest lesson. I need to find someone that can just calm me down from that, because I’m constantly everywhere.'
On Wizards: 'On the show, I would like to guest star as myself. I would like to be on my show as Selena Gomez just for fun. David [Henrie] and I were talking about this and we actually thought it would be funny if Justin was a huge Selena Gomez fan.. We want that to happen just because it would be great to play around with.'
On her Europe trip: 'I’m excited to visit Paris because I hear it’s romantic, so I’ll probably feel very alone. But, it will be fun! It will be fun to go be there and experience it, so I’m going to be excited for that.
